With each of our tours we include delicious meals and incredible cooking classes. Our classes are hands on that are meant to teach our clients about the traditional meals of each country and region.
In Italy we had the opportunity to go to a farmhouse where the owners taught us how to make different types of homemade pasta with organic ingredients, roasted vegetables, wild boar, and Tiramisu. They also had an onsite winery and enjoyed some wonderful wine while cooking our meal.
Another one of our tours to Italy we had an incredible cooking class with Chef Antonio who taught us how to make Northern Italian specialties, such as Béchamel Lasagna, Cornish Game Hens stuffed with sausage and rosemary, Cantucci Biscotti and Tiramisu as well.
In Peru our tour included an incredible cooking class in the heart of Lima, starting with a tour through the main market in the center of town. Then onto Skykitchen where we enjoyed tasting some of the fruits, which we had seen in the market. After our delightful tasting, we made a 4 course traditional Peruvian meal. This incredible feast included homemade ceviche, causa, loma saltado and finished with picarones (Peruvian doughnuts). It was one of the highlights of the tour for our clients.
This year’s tour to Ireland will include a class at the world famous Cookery school called Ballymaloe. Cookbook author and TV personality Darina Allen run the school. We will be cooking some Irish specialties along with having a tour of their organic garden.
This year’s tour to Italy will include a cooking class at an organic farmhouse for a special traditional, Italian cooking course and dinner to follow. This is where you can participate in the Italian way of cooking and learn the food traditions of the Tuscany area.
